The leader of Arun DC has slammed local health bosses for ignoring the needs of residents after refusing calls to build a community hospital in Littlehampton.

Cllr Gillian Brown said local people ‘are being treated like second-class citizens' after NHS Sussex ruled it would not be building a new hospital, to replace the one which was demolished in 2005.
