Liverpool director steps down – but he's 'not leaving or quitting'

One of Liverpool City Council's leading figures is stepping down from his post to focus on other commitments.

David McElhinney, a key player in former chief executive Sir David Henshaw's team, is leaving his post as executive director of central services to concentrate full time on his role as chief executive of Liverpool Direct Limited (LDL).
