Nick Kavanagh has been named as Liverpool City Council's new director for regeneration and employment.

Mr Kavanagh joined the city council last August, as interim director for regeneration, and will be responsible for driving forward Liverpool's regeneration, as well as boosting job creation and employment opportunities in the city.
