Liverpool warns of cash crisis

Liverpool may not be able to provide statutory services from 2017 onwards because of cuts in funding, the city council has been warned.

Accountants Grant Thornton say: ‘It is possible that during 2017/18 the council will no longer have sufficient funds to deliver any discretionary services.'
