'Living wills are not enough on their own'

The post-Carillion move by the Government to get outsourcing companies to draw up ‘living wills’ to protect services  has been generally welcomed by the sector – but concerns remain, according to Hiba Mahamadi

The year began with the collapse of construction giant Carillion and the devastating fallout on public services.

Among the carnage was Sunderland City Council's biggest ever regeneration project, Croydon LBC's library service, Oxfordshire CC's cleaning service and Hounslow LBC's grounds mantenance service.
