Lloyds buys Birmingham's NEC for £300m

Birmingham City Council has sold the NEC Group to the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group for more than £300m.

Birmingham City Council has sold the NEC Group to the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group for more than £300m.

The local authority announced on 16 January it has sold the firm to LDC for £307m, which includes a 125-year lease on the NEC site.
