Spending watchdog, the National Audit Office (NAO), this week issued a revised draft code of practice for local audit.

Spending watchdog, the National Audit Office (NAO), this week issued a revised draft code of practice for local audit. It sets out how local auditors should comply with new statutory duties under the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014.

When approved, the draft code, which was laid in Parliament on 12 January, will apply for audits taking place in 2015/16 and beyond.
