Local groups have a stronger sense of pride and are better placed to harness the benefits of community assets, according to research by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF).

The newly-published Community organisations controlling assets: A better understanding study by the Institute for Voluntary Action Research (IVAR), was commissioned by the JRF to investigate a range of community-based organisations which own and manage assets across the UK.
