Local elections 2013: by numbers

The MJ's breakdown of the key figures and facts from the 2 May polls.

On 2 May 2013 local elections were held across 27 English county councils and 7 unitary authorities.  In addition, two mayoral elections were also contested in Doncaster and North Tynesdide and polls also held in Anglesey, Wales.
