Local government bucks outsourcing trend

Councils signed £108m outsourcing deals in last quarter, seeing 164% growth on the same period last year industry analysts reveal.

Local government was the UK's biggest customer of outsourced business deals in the last three months, analysts have revealed.

Figures released in arvatoUK's quarterly outsourcing index reveal councils signed commercial agreements worth £108m out of a total £421m in 25 deals across all industry sectors from July to September, industry analysts NelsonHal found
