Every vote counts in the EU referendum and with the polls so far showing a knife-edge result the outcome could hang on a handful of ballot papers, which is actually a rather terrifying thought considering the future of the UK is at stake.

The views of 1.5m local authority staff, including the several thousand senior directors and chief executives, are therefore vital.
