Why local government needs to present a united front against fraud

Tony Machin explains the growing role of document authentication technology to tackle public sector fraud.

There's been a lot of heated debate surrounding the Immigration Bill. Last week's uncovering of a secret government dossier detailing the scale of abuse by some migrants on the UK welfare system has doubtlessly further fueled that.

According to the Home Office findings thousands of migrants have claimed benefits by using fake documents. While these statistics should be of concern to all, their focus should be on the fact that not enough public sector organisations appear to know that a solution to this problem already exists.
