Mid-term elections(if you can call them that)can be an opportunity to kick the government of the day, but with the Tories at the high water mark & in government with the Liberal Democrat's it will be I suspect an election of two halves. I expect the LD's will suffer real set backs in the North, but the really interesting bit will be in Southern Counties where there are significant District & Unitary elections.

Liverpool will be interesting - the Liberals there are in a bit of a pickle & my money would be on a change of administration in the City.
