A local solution for apprentices

Budget restrictions and recruitment difficulties means many organisations are still struggling to embrace a new pool of talent. Michelle Kirk explains how councils in the East of England overcame obstacles to taking on apprentices

Apprenticeships offer employers an opportunity to harness fresh talent, foster loyalty and build up the skill set of their staff.

At the same time apprentices can learn while they earn and develop skills, gain experience and secure qualifications. It is a win-win situation.
