Localism Bill is 'simply not needed'

The Localism Bill is unnecessary legislation according to authority leaders in Yorkshire and Humber.

The Localism Bill is unnecessary legislation as councils are already making localism work,local authority leaders in Yorkshire and Humber have claimed.

Local Government in Yorkshire and Humber (LGYH)'s chair, Cllr Roger Stone said: 'Local authorities are the most accountable part of government and are completely responsive to the needs of communities and local people.'
