Solihull MBC's leader has hit back at criticism, insisting his council is ‘actively involved' in talks on creating a Birmingham and Black Country combined authority.

Conservative Cllr Bob Sleigh spoke out after Birmingham City Council's Labour leader Sir Albert Bore described neighbouring Solihull as the ‘logjam' towards a West Midlands combined authority.
