London 2012's winning legacy

London’s communities will reap the benefits of London 2012’s sporting legacy for decades to come, says Shaun Dawson.

The construction and long-term viability of the Olympic venues is a tribute to the united determination of local government, sporting associations and Lee Valley Regional Park Authority to deliver lasting, impactful change for our communities.

This has not only boosted widescale access and participation in sport and physical activity, but through the continued delivery of major international events there is a strong platform for a potential future London Olympic bid in 2036 or 2040.
