Council chiefs in London reject government plans to reform school funding.

Council chiefs in London have rejected government plans to reform school funding, warning it could 'exacerbate the shortage of school places across the capital'.

The Department for Education is consulting on proposals to create a national funding formula for distributing cash to local authorities, replacing the current system of what Whitehall describes as a 'very complex local formulae'.
