London still needs devolution, says leader

The current system of devolution in London is not ‘true devolution’ according to the leader of a borough council, as it fails to go down to councils and their communities.

Speaking after a meeting between council leaders and senior members of the shadow cabinet – including Labour leader Ed Miliband – Barking and Dagenham LBC leader Darren Rodwell welcomed his party's commitment to further devolution.
