Plans to devolve powers to London have taken a massive leap forward, with a London Devolution Bill tabled in Parliament last week and a new governance structure set up.

Plans to devolve powers to London have taken a massive leap forward, with a London Devolution Bill tabled in Parliament yesterday and a new governance structure planned.

Labour MP for Harrow West, Gareth Thomas, has said he hopes for cross-party support for his Bill, which will give new powers to the capital, including over income tax, property taxes, health, housing and the minimum wage.
