Ministers are accused of favouring London in agreeing to sell £35m of assets held by regional development agencies.

Ministers have been accused of favouring London in agreeing to sell £35m of assets held by regional development agencies (RDA), while folding the capital's own development portfolio.

England's eight RDAs, set for abolition next April, submitted plans for disposing of assets and liabilities before the end of January. Land and property holdings make up one-third of an asset base worth £500m, and ministers have released 20% of such assets for sale at market value.
