Lord Adonis invites Prof Travers to talk tax devolution

Labour growth guru to consult with renowned local government academic over plans to give city regions and county areas tax-raising powers

Labour growth guru Lord Adonis is set to consult with renowned local government academic Professor Tony Travers over plans to give city regions and county areas tax raising powers.

The discussions follow publication of the interim findings of the Labour peer's growth review, which were announced by Labour Party leader Ed Miliband in Birmingham yesterday.
