Lord Hanningfield convicted in expenses case

Lord Hanningfield has today been found guilty on six counts of false accounting.

Former Essex County Council leader Lord Hanningfield has today been found guilty on six counts of false accounting.

The Conservative peer was tried at Chelmsford crown court under his name Paul White for recouping money for journeys and overnight stays in London when he had in fact travelled 50-miles to his West Hanningfield home.
