Luton BC is facing a £2m overspend on its homeless budget as rent prices soar and London boroughs buy up homes in the town.

Luton BC is facing a £2m overspend on its homeless budget as rent prices soar and London boroughs buy up homes in the town.

A report that went before the council's executive this week showed the local authority currently has more than 1,000 people living in temporary accommodation with an average of 18 being placed every week.
