The widow and family of a man who drowned in a lake three years ago have agreed to an undisclosed out of court settlement from Maldon DC  after a High Court appeal.

Kevin Gay died after hitting his head on a submerged post while diving in Marine Lake, Maldon in 2002. Mrs Gay sought damages for negligence from the council.
