Manchester City Council 'had serious concerns' about risks to autistic woman

Manchester City Council says 'it's important to be clear that the council had serious concerns' about the risks to a young woman with severe learning disabilities.

Manchester City Council has responded to a report in The Times that a vulnerable woman of 23 was 'repeatedly exploited during a court-approved, two-month trial period this summer in which random men were allowed to visit her Manchester care home'.

The article also said that 'under a court-approved care plan the council employed a specialist company ... to provide her with 24-hour support'.
