Former motor racing champion Nigel Mansell has failed to win backing from East Devon DC to expand his go-kart racetrack in Dunkeswell.

The council rejected his planning applications to build a race control tower, new pits, workshops and visitor facilities as well as two residential flats and a spectator parking and camping area in the Blackdown Hills area of outstanding natural beauty.
