Nothing is off the table when it comes to fixing the audit system, the new chief executive of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) has claimed.

Owen Mapley told the accountancy body's members the failures in the current audit system would need to be resolved by the incoming government.
