A Green Party councillor in Brighton claims she could be expelled from the city council after she revealed her Christian beliefs prevented her from voting in favour of gay marriage.

Cllr Christina Summers was the only member of Brighton and Hove City Council to vote against a motion in favour of changing the local law on 19 July.
