Miliband and Johnson make 'Living Wage' pledge

Labour Party leader and Conservative London Mayor give backing to adequate living standards pay-rate - which today rose 25p per hour.

Low pay campaigners the Living Wage Foundation and Citizens UK have today increased the threshold for paying the Living Wage by 25p an hour.

Calculated by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation as the amount needed to provide an adequate standard of living, the previous national rate was £7.20 per hour - with a higher £8.30 level in London.
