Miliband to pledge apprenticeship boost

Labour Party leader, Ed Miliband, will today set out conference speech proposals focused on the ‘forgotten 50%’ of young people’ not entering university.

Labour Party leader, Ed Miliband, will today set out proposals to boost apprenticeships, pledging to focus on the ‘forgotten 50%' of young people' who don't go on to higher education.

Making his speech at the annual Labour Party conference later today, Mr Miliband will announce plans for a new qualification, the technical baccalaureate, which would be taken at the age of 18.
