Labour leader Ed Miliband has pledged to reverse a ‘century of centralisation' with more devolution to city regions and counties.

Lord Adonis's report on growth looks set to be published tomorrow (Tuesday) and writing in the Sunday Times over the weekend, Mr Miliband said it will recommend transferring £30bn of funding from central government to cities and county regions over the course of the next Parliament.

‘This is just one of the many ideas he has to nurture skills, help small businesses thrive and ensure innovation flourishes,' writes Mr Miliband.
