Miliband rolls out 66 LAAs with £485m

Sixty-six new Local Area Agreements (LAAs) were announced last week by local government minister, David Miliband. The minister said these agreements would be rolled out across England by March 2007.

‘The agreements cement the role of local government as leader of local public, private and voluntary sector coalitions, united in seeking better outcomes for their communities,' said Mr Miliband.
