Minister claims £100m in property savings

The coalition claims it has saved more than £100m through greater control of central government property.

The coalition claims it has saved more than £100m in the first nine months of the financial year through greater control of central government property.

The announcement comes as the Cabinet Office yesterday released an unprecedented amount of information on the central civil estate - showing it numbers nearly 14,000 properties covering an area almost six times the size of City of London.
