Housing minister Brandon Lewis has criticised councils for wasting taxpayers’ money after they lost a legal challenge to a government policy on affordable homes.

Housing minister Brandon Lewis has criticised councils for wasting taxpayers' money after they lost a legal challenge to a government policy on affordable homes.

The policy, introduced in November 2014, said that developments of 10 units or fewer did not have to include a contribution to affordable housing.
