A health minister has defended the Government’s recent decision to cut public health funding to councils by £200m.

A health minister has defended the Government's recent decision to cut public health funding to councils by £200m.

Lord Prior told fellow peers in the House of Lords that the £200m cut in the public health grant to local authorities ‘should be seen in the context' of the total £3.2bn grant and only represented a 6% reduction.
