Minister demands Nottingham apology over 'unkempt' building notice

Communities minister demands apology from Nottingham City Council for wrongly serving DCLG (DCLG) with an enforcement notice over an ‘unkempt’ building.

Coalition ministers have demanded an apology from Nottingham City Council, after the authority wrongly served the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) with an enforcement notice over an ‘unkempt' building.

Before Easter, Nottingham sent a Section 215 notice to the DCLG, giving the authority the power to deal with a property, Lancaster House on Sherwood Rise, that it claimed was ‘detrimental to the amenities of the neighbourhood'
