Schools minister Nick Gibb has said he would support the idea of some local authorities launching their own multi-academy trusts (MATs).
Speaking to the BBC, Mr Gibb said the Government would ‘encourage' local authorities that have a ‘very good approach' to overseeing their own schools creating MATs.
