Housing minister Baroness Taylor has confirmed the chancellor could raise social rents in the Budget.

Speaking to The MJ at the Local Government Association (LGA) annual conference in Harrogate, the minister said that while she didn't know what was in the Budget she was hopeful the measure would be included.
