Local government minister Brandon Lewis has passed his milestone first 100 days in office. Michael Burton caught up with him last week in Parliament to hear his views on unitaries, budgets, the settlement… and councillors' pensions.

Appearing before county council leaders at their conference last November for the first time in his new role as local government minister, Brandon Lewis faced a stream of complaints that he and his colleagues were 'pro district'.
