Ministers facing defeat over military kit spend

Ministers are expected to admit defeat over plans to outsource the body responsible for overseeing the spend on military equipment.

Defence ministers are expected to concede defeat over radical plans to outsource the body responsible for overseeing the £14bn annual spend on military equipment after one of the two competing consortia withdrew.
