Ministers must rethink Right to Buy plans

Former Department for Communities and Local Government permanent secretary, Lord Kerslake, this week urged ministers to rethink plans to extend the Right to Buy scheme to 1.3 million housing association tenants.

Former Department for Communities and Local Government permanent secretary, Lord Kerslake, this week urged ministers to rethink plans to extend the Right to Buy scheme to 1.3 million housing association tenants.

Speaking to The MJ in advance of delivering his maiden speech in the House of Lords as a cross-bench peer on 2 June, Lord Kerslake, warned the policy could block routes to home ownership.
