Local authorities aiming to submit entries to The MJ Awards have been given an extra week's grace.

Local authorities aiming to submit entries to The MJ Local Government Achievement Awards 2013 have been given an extra week's grace to send in their summaries. The deadline for receiving entries is now Friday February 15.

The year 2013 is a milestone for The MJ Local Government Achievement Awards - their tenth anniversary. Since they were set up in 2004 to recognise and promote the best work of local government managers and staff the awards have expanded to become one of the premier ways of recognising and praising innovation in local government while the annual awards night is now a highlight of the networking calendar.
