The Budget will bring in more money in the short-term, but not in the long-term, the Institute of Fiscal Studies' Paul Johnson told The MJ's Future Forum.  

According to the economist, government spending cuts will have to continue to go deeper unless the Chancellor can find £12bn from the welfare budget.
