The Inward Investment Guide to England helps councils plan their strategies to meet the growth agenda by concentrating on their strengths as well as identifying their weaknesses. The guide, from The MJ and research consultancy Local Futures, analyses key socio-economic data to build up a picture of the 325 local authority areas in England. The findings are organised in three main focuses and each is made up of five composite measures, which have been equally weighted to provide summary scores. The combined scores then make up the final Investment Guide to England. The three focuses and the final guide will be published below as they make the pages of the MJ.
