Modernisation pays

Gateshead  and South Tyneside MBCs and Newcastle and Sunderland City Council, achieved £100,000 efficiency savings during an electoral modernisation pilot.

The four councils joined together in May to try out some of the proposals in the Electoral Administration Bill and impressive results were achieved including a saving of £12,500 per council from the joint publicity campaign.
