The next three months ‘will be critical' in Birmingham City Council's improvement journey, communities secretary Greg Clark has claimed. 

In his response to the improvement panel's latest reporter earlier this month, Mr Clark acknowledged the scale of the financial challenge and said he had been ‘encouraged by the new leader's clear commitment' to the improvement plan set out by Lord Kerslake in 2014.
