Stockport MBC has won two national awards for its staff-motivation efforts. The authority scooped Best Public Sector Programme and Best Limited Expenditure Programme at this year's National Motivation Awards. It won both prizes for its WOW! Awards, which the judges said had helped to instill a ‘can-do' attitude among the authority's employees and encouraged them to become more involved in improving the services.
