Moving views

Councils, unions and employers are submitting views on clarifying guidance governing pension arrangements for council staff whose employment is transferred to a contractor.

Companies and voluntary organisations which win contracts can either assume Admitted Body Status and provide ongoing access to the local government pension scheme to any transferred staff, or offer a broadly-comparable scheme.

The consultation by Communities and Local Government (CLG) will consider how current guidance can be made clearer.
