MPs and peers have called for an urgent investigation into children's homes after claiming the current system is not fit for purpose.

A report jointly published today by the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for runaway and missing children and adults and the APPG for looked-after children and care leavers, claims homes in England are failing to protect children who run away or go missing.
